A Letter From Our Elders at
MERCY CULTURE CHURCH
Dear Mercy Culture Family,
It is with both deep gratitude and heartfelt honor that we announce the resignation of Pastor Tom Lane from his role as Apostolic Elder of Mercy Culture Church.
Earlier this year, Pastor Tom began prayerfully discerning his ongoing role in this season of life. After much prayer and reflection, and in light of new personal and family priorities, he has chosen to step down from his position.
Over the years, Pastor Tom’s leadership, generosity, and steadfast faith have left an indelible mark on our community. In this advisory role, he has offered wisdom, prayerful guidance, and prophetic insight. He has helped steward the health and direction of our church and leaders through remarkable seasons of growth and expansion. One of the most pivotal moments in our history came through Pastor Tom’s influence, as he helped us secure our very first loan to purchase the Fort Worth building, a milestone in our ministry.
Under the spiritual covering that Pastor Tom helped to steward, God has grown Mercy Culture to seven campuses and counting, with thousands of people attending services each week. Through MC Connect alone, more than 30,000 people have been equipped to discover how they best connect with God, and our membership has grown into the thousands.
Pastor Tom’s apostolic voice has strengthened our vision, encouraged our leaders, and helped shape our culture with humility, wisdom, and faith. We are profoundly thankful for his role in helping Mercy Culture become a presence-driven church that impacts not only our city but the nations.
While his role may be changing, our love, honor, and gratitude for Pastor Tom remain. We celebrate the eternal fruit of his ministry here and look forward to continuing to run alongside him in the Kingdom.
As a reminder, our Apostolic Elders serve in an advisory capacity to our Elder Board, and this transition does not alter the governance of the church in any way.
Today, we pause to celebrate Pastor Tom Lane and to honor the legacy of faithfulness and spiritual covering he has deposited into our house.

CONNECT WITH GOD THROUGH MOVEMENT THIS MONTH.
Connecting with God through movement is when you experience His presence as you run, walk, dance, and move to encounter Him. It’s through movement that you fully show your pursuit of Him. James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” Know that when you are moving to encounter God, He is moving to encounter you. This is the daily personal encounter!
JOIN + SERVE MC Connect is your first step to joining + serving at Mercy Culture. Through MC Connect, you will learn more about our culture, how you best connect with God daily, and enter into the covering of Mercy Culture Church. | HOW TO GIVE We honor God by giving our first and our best through tithes + offerings. There are several ways you can give: |
